I Dare You Not To Be Hypnotized
Even the most seasoned travelers can not help but stare out the window as the landscape flashes by on the Japanese high speed Shinkansen. Digital artist Daihai Shibata captured the world outside his seat and with some simple manipulation recreated what it can feel like to get lost in the environment as it flys past you at 0- 300km/hr. The eye watering results reveal beautiful contrasts between the natural and man made environments. The geometric patterns created in some of the busiest parts of the video have spectacular detail and almost any paused moment could make for a standalone piece of art. While the concept and effect is so simple it is utterly hypnotic.
From a technical stand point I am impressed how smooth the video feels especially knowing that it was shot on an Olympus PEN EP-1.

Good Books “Metamorphosis” by Buck
We dug through the darkest recesses of our minds and studio to create original music and sound design for this Buck masterpiece. Working with squirming, analog-tape leeches, moaning coeds, screaming guitar goats, and brain-exploding psychedelia, we were certainly in our element. Plus, it’s always fun to rock out and get a little weird for a good cause!
